Hailing from the deserts of New Mexico, a masked demon loner croons woefully of a dark past and a fearful future.  The Antihero burst onto the scene with a stripped down, home-grown album titled “My Old Ways” around the mid-to-end of the pandemic, combining raw, confessional lyrics with a Mark Lanegan-esque croon and the type of aggression that wouldn’t be out of place on a Tool record.  A few songs, including opener “Flat” had viral moments on one or more social media platform, garnering over 40K total streams across outlets.  More experimental material followed with the industrial-tinged “Darker Side of Me”, featuring Emzy Enzy on the dark and menacing “Cry for Help” and a far more avant-garde aesthetic.

The more acoustic-based EP “Vibes” showed the vulnerability under the mask, and more recent projects such as “The Antihero Vs The Death of Zenith” combine his dark, confessional country-noir with industrial aggression and futuristic, sci-fi-infused trap metal influences.  Lead single “Salvation” has struck a chord internationally, been playlisted by multiple independent Spotify curators, and landed on multiple independent internet radio outlets.

The Antihero is currently working on a series of dark, genre-defying singles with Solunar Records and is eyeing a potential remastering of his first album.  He has been reviewed by Valkyrjian Magazine, First Angel Media, and interviewed by Local Band Smokeout among others.   Heed the mask, but see the soul.  He bares it all here.
